All the news that's fit to print
Thanks, everyone, for all the hugs <3 I was pretty sore and tired yesterday, as expected, but doing better today - just got back from picking up the rental car - a Chevy HHR, and I've been having fun getting to know it. It's very...hm, suave, and very clean, yikes! I think I'll refrain from hauling bales of straw and muddy shedding doggies for the duration, lol. It does have a nicely adjustable driver's seat, so my feet reach the pedals and I can see out the windshield and the steering wheel does not touch my chest, w00t! Handles well, very easy to drive, so it'll do I think :)
My temporary ride - very pretty, but not really "me" ^_~
Toast has been amusing himself with all the stuff I unloaded from the RAV -
"Argh, I noms yer ice scraper!"
Aah, the brown paper grocery bag. Best Cat Toy EVER ^^
Toast, I have discovered, loves people food - vegetables, bread, pasta, tomato sauce, meat of any sort of course, he even tried to gnaw on some lettuce! I suspect he went through some very hungry times as a kitten, so he doesn't say no to anything edible, poor baby. Makes eating with him around a bit of an adventure, though, because he's right there. Shortly after I took this picture he grabbed the edge of the paper towel in his mouth and tried to pull down the sandwich XD I've been working on teaching him the same rules as the doggies get: as long as you are laying down quietly and not actively pestering me, I'll throw you bits and scraps to nibble. He's a very clever little kittling - got the idea after just a few tries, although all bets are off if I leave the food unattended (to be fair the doggies score poorly on that one too).
"Was that birdies I heard out there?!!!"
Bathroom sinks, obviously designed especially for kittehs:
"You should be using those reusable shopping bags anyway. Just doing my part to look out for the planet!"
One of Kettle's favorite games - throw a towel or blanket over her whole body and she walks around until she drags it off. Idk, she thinks it's great fun XD - Toast agrees, the blanket game is pretty awesome :P
All Ur ledges are belong to ME. All Ur stuffs say hello to floor in 5...4...3...
Here's a poor hit-by-car opossum guy that I've had for a few days now. He's been pretty comatose, and I was iffy on whether or not he was going to make it - yesterday he started taking a little bit of food and water, and this morning he'd cleaned out his food dish all by himself and made a total wreck of his crate, all very good signs ^_^ I have learned my lesson about seemingly comatose opossums - this one is being kept securely contained ^^
