Abstract

Wang Yangming 王阳明 regarding innate moral knowing as “the awareness belonging to inherent nature” and “the site from whence Heaven, Earth and the myriad things issue forth,” taking it to be both the inherent nature endowed by Heaven and also the substance of knowledge that can become aware of and reveal this inherent nature.
