Abstract
The article is devoted to the analysis of the peculiarities of political participation of Crimean Tatars women in the context of the struggle of the indigenous people of Ukraine for their rights and self-determination. The work traces the historical continuity of the participation of Crimean Tatars women in the socio-political processes of the Crimean Tatars people in different historical periods. From the early manifestations of emancipation during the First Kurultai in 1917, when women first gained voting rights in the Muslim world, to the current stage, characterized by difficult conditions caused by russia’s occupation of Crimea in 2014. It is emphasized that it was women who played a key role in preserving the identity and cultural heritage of the indigenous people, in particular during the deportation of the Crimean Tatars in 1944 by the soviet authorities and the soviet period in general. The author pays particular attention to the analysis of the political participation of representatives of the indigenous people in the current socio-political conditions after Ukraine regained its independence in 1991. A separate emphasis is placed on the stage that began with the illegal annexation of Crimea by russia in 2014 and the start of the russian-Ukrainian war. This section describes examples of well-known Crimean Tatars women who have become symbols of resilience and peaceful protest against the occupying authorities. The purpose of the study is to analyze the peculiarities of political participation of Crimean Tatar women in the context of the struggle for the rights of indigenous peoples. The scientific novelty of the study lies in its comprehensive analysis of the female dimension of the Crimean Tatars movement as an integral part of the historical struggle of the indigenous people of Ukraine not only for their own rights, but also for their existence.
