Abstract

The rapid advancement of 3D printing technology has revolutionized the biomedical field, enabling the design and fabrication of both off-the-shelf and patient-specific biomedical devices with enhanced biomechanical performance. This chapter provides a comprehensive overview of the software tools essential for the 3D printing workflow in biomedical applications, covering medical imaging, data acquisition, segmentation, computer-aided design (CAD), lattice integration, finite element analysis (FEA), support generation, printing simulation, and slicing.
