Regional Peculiarities in the Making of Civil Society in Ukraine

Abstract

Peculiarities of the making of civil society in Ukraine are under study in the article. The author describes the development of civil society in different regions of Ukraine, emphasising the specific character of these processes in the Western part of Ukraine, which had certain European socio-cultural traditions, and in the Easternpart of the country, where there were not any traditions of that kind.
