Abstract

This chapter continues the arguments of Chap. 10.1007/978-3-030-17883-3_2, in greater detail. The consequences of an ideological, language-centered and relativist theory of culture are illustrated through examples. The chapter discusses policy-making based on culturalism, particularly for education and research. The cases discussed reveal the atomism (or monadism) of culturalism-based multiculturalism, which tends to hide the ideological dimension of isolationist arguments under the pretense of an academic cultural theory.
