Abstract

The late Ezzat Abouleish, MD, was a respected and beloved physician, author, teacher, painter, and family man. He was a giant in the field of obstetric anesthesia and was the first to propose epidural anesthesia for laboring women. He was also the father of Anesthesia Bridges editor Amr Abouleish. The life he led serves as an example to us all.
