Abstract

ABSTRACT: This study investigates the role of the National School Feeding Program (PNAE) and other food education initiatives implemented at Hélio Pellegrino State School, in Campo Grande (RJ), in strengthening the relationship between food and education. Through theoretical and documentary research combined with fieldwork, the study links the right to food with the right to education, highlighting how the PNAE strengthens family farming, encourages conscious eating habits, and brings the school closer to the community. The article concludes that school feeding has the potential to become part of the pedagogical process, engaging students, staff, and the local community.
