The Structural Law of Everything That Persists - A Pre-Physical Architecture of Existence and Identity

Abstract

What the reader gains The reader comes to see what determines whether a system remains itself, transforms into something else, or fails. The reader comes to understand where the breaking points of a system lie, how they become visible, and why collapse, transformation, and persistence follow different structural paths. The same analysis can be applied to a person, a company, a state, an ecosystem, a cell, or any other persistent system. It provides a way to examine existing systems and theories, to identify their hidden assumptions, and to locate their structural limits before those limits are reached. The work also shows what a system must possess in order to endure, adapt, and remain itself through change. Abstract Everything that lasts — a cell, a star system, an ecosystem, a company, a state, a self — faces the same problem: to remain itself while it changes. This book claims there is one structure to that problem, and derives it. Not as an analogy: the claim is that a single, pre-physical law governs whether any such system persists, transforms into something no longer itself, or collapses — and that the same law, once you hold it, can be turned on any persistent system to read where it stands, what it is doing to its own capacity to last, and which way it will break if it breaks. Two consequences are the reason to read on. Laid over the natural sciences, the law marks a gap they have carried without naming: they ask whether a structure continues, and almost never whether the structure that continues is still the same one — two questions physics and biology run together, and the law pulls apart. Laid over the sciences we built ourselves — economics, management, the sciences of institutions and states — it works as a template: system by system, it shows where each has confused mere continuation with identity, where it is blind to the regime in which a thing survives but is no longer itself, and what would have to change. Where the system is natural, a cell or a star, the law can be tested against it; where the system is built, a company or a state, the law becomes the standard that shows what was built against it. It does not hand you a number. It hands you something rarer: the conditions under which anything at all can remain — and with them, a way to read, diagnose, and anticipate the fate of anything that does. What follows derives those conditions from a single impossibility, and then turns them on the world.
