Abstract

This dissertation is meant as an investigation into the ground of the principle of sufficient reason. To me, there is almost no meatier a philosophical topic than the principle of sufficient reason and the prospect of the unconditioned. I have come to love modern philosophy by first studying Nietzsche. My interest in modern philosophy and especially Hume grew out of a love for phenomenology, philosophy of technology and art. Only after studying Nietzsche was I able to understand the monumental significance of Hume.
