Abstract

Shame is a moral sense, is an important area of Chinese culture and ethics. Shame is a negative way to grasp the "good" process, leading to a tortuous manner, "benevolence" of the state the only way. Stigma generally contains "outward looking" and "inward looking" two dimensions, they connect to each other in the moral construction, each other well. However, the shame of our citizens a sense of community with a clear orientation, conformity orientation in the social transition easily expressed as a "look out" of the one-dimensional sense of shame, this is a distorted sense of shame and alienation. Construction of civic and moral shame to grasp the depth of two-dimensional and one-dimensional problem, followed by "his control" to "self" from "normative ethics" to "virtue ethics" route. Actively build the rule of law, morality, shame specification consisting of community, promote a sense of civic shame into export-oriented inward shame, from the "free and shameless" to "a shame and the grid", as is the reasonable construction of the path of civic virtue. Shame is a kind of conscience, which is an important component of Chinese ethical culture. It is a process of grasping goodness in manner of negativity, the only way to circuitously achieve the ambit of virtue. Shame consists of two directions of "looking outward" and "looking inward" in general, which connect and echo with each other in the foundation of morality. However, Chinese people's shame is evidently community-oriented and conformity-oriented, and in the period of social transformation it manifests as the outward unidirectional shame which is a kind of distortion and dissimilation. In the ethic construction, we should thoroughly grasp the bidirection and unidirection of shame, combine heteronomy with autonomy and positively build a standard system composed of law, ethics and shame, so as to promote the transformation and sublimation of outward shame into inward shame
