Abstract

This study analyzes Sartre's major literary works, with some attention to his philosophical and critical texts. It emphasizes the evolution of his lifelong concern for human freedom and commitment from his early insistence on the individual's need to create values through his later preoccupation with collective social and political action as a means of achieving personal, social, and political freedom for all.
