Abstract

Interview with composer The main theme of the interview with the famous Ukrainian composer Alyona Tomlenova published here is the philosophical and spiritual conception of her symphonic works. Marina Rusyaeva, culturologist and musicologist conducted a conversation with the composer. The essence of A.Tomlenova’s approach to the music crativity is the search for the fundamental relationship between Man and God. Ukrainian composer, she continues the line of searching for Sophia Gubaidulina and Avet Terteryan. The interview deals with various topics: anthropological models, the composer’s missionin the world and Divine Universem, transformation of the symphony genre, controversial relationship Order-Chaos, Time-Eternity, Tragic-Post-tragic. However, all the variety of themes and plots is combined into a single holistic vision of musical creativity.
