Abstract

A collection of personal narratives and essays, _Living Professionalism_ is a casebook of experiences within medicine that demonstrate professionalism in action. Designed to help medical students and residents understand and internalize various aspects of professionalism, this volume contains personal stories from medical school professors, practitioners, patients, and students about the importance of professionalism in medical practice. These essays are meant for personal reflection and above all, for thoughtful discussion with mentors, with peers, with others throughout the health care provider community who care about acting professionally.
