Abstract

This chapter tackles how the MIDI to Control-Voltage Converter project provides a useful addition to any Eurorack setup. It cites that the MIDI to control voltage conversion opens the door to using computers, MIDI keyboards, and other devices as sources of voltage control. Essentially, the converter is comprised of a modest collection of circuits and code and includes CV/octave and gate/trigger output, onboard 5-volt power supply, and MIDI input. Moreover, the modular approach to the MIDI to CV backpack enables its use in a variety of projects such as custom sequencers, arpeggiators, or real-time controllers. The chapter considers several enhancements and creative applications to the MIDI to Control-Voltage Converter.
