Abstract

The way beyond the moral/post-moral dualism requires deepening mutual respect and understanding, when being involved in dialogical processes. The moral/post-moral dualism mirrors tensions between moral norms (particularly, the truth/morality dualism) and the quest for the ethical aim (such as social justice), and more precisely, between the existence and the inexistence of Truth-itself. The existence of Truth-itself justifies the absoluteness of moral normativity. The inexistence of Truth-itself is a way to affirm the absoluteness of our quest for the ethical aim. The tension between moral and post-moral worldviews is thus always rooted in our attitude towards Truth-itself. Organizational members cannot overcome the moral/post-moral dualism without enhancing moral deliberation processes (centered on mutual respect and understanding) and the quest for consensual moral norms. (Jürgen Habermas). This is the way for transcending the absoluteness of moral normativity. The quest for the ethical aim remains closely linked to consensual moral norms. But moral normativity is then always ever-changing.
