Abstract

I here reply to Martin Stokhof and Jaap van der Does’ criticism of my translation of ‘Satz’ as ‘proposition’ in Wittgenstein’s _Tractatus Logico-Philosophicus_, arguing that they fail to appreciate the difference between translation and interpretation.
