Abstract

The rapid growth of financial technology, or fintech, has fundamentally changed the financial services industry by influencing consumer behaviour and adoption trends. The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between fintech adoption and important independent variables, such as infrastructure, socioeconomic, and technological aspects, this study assesses the mediating role of perceived financial benefits. The research uses a systematic framework to examine the effects of these factors on user engagement and adoption of fintech solutions. The data was gathered through a survey that was intended for a wide range of demographics, and the relationships were examined using statistical methods such as regression analysis, ANOVA, and the T-test. The findings indicate that the adoption of fintech is significantly influenced by both technological factors, such as innovation and usability, and socioeconomic factors, such as income levels and education. Digital payment methods and dependable internet access are additional essential infrastructure elements. The impact of these relationships on adoption is further enhanced by the notable mediating role of perceived financial benefits. These benefits include, for instance, cost savings and improved financial accessibility. The study emphasises that to encourage wider adoption of fintech, policymakers, financial institutions, and fintech developers must prioritise technological innovation, address socioeconomic disparities, and improve infrastructure. By highlighting the significance of perceived financial benefits, this study provides vital information for developing strategies to increase consumer adoption of fintech services.
