Abstract

In this chapter we summarise the ongoing risks to human life and risks to life on Earth in general that we have discussed throughout this book and introduce, for context, the formal Global Risks assessments made by the World Economic Forum. Rapid changes in the human way of life are needed to reduce the risks of catastrophic climate change or possible nuclear war.
