Abstract

This book proposes a novel methodological framework for exploring universal consciousness, Being, or the concept of the hidden God (Deus absconditus) (Deus_Absco... pp. 1, 15). Rather than approaching the topic through traditional ecclesiastical theology, natural theology, or classical ontological proofs, the author constructs an epistemological paradigm rooted in the empirical methods of natural science and neuroscience (Deus_Absco... p. 15). The book cross-examines historical and theological formulations of the hidden or invisible deity—ranging from Biblical scriptures to the philosophical works of René Descartes, Nicolaus Cusanus, John Scotus Eriugena, and Immanuel Kant (Deus_Absco... pp. 21, 30, 32-33, 35). By evaluating how the human cognitive apparatus functions as a material device bounded by physical and evolutionary constraints, the text argues that the "hiddenness" of ultimate reality is an artifact of biological sampling limits rather than an absolute metaphysical barrier (Deus_Absco... pp. 36, 42, 44). Utilizing concepts such as integrative levels of organization and biological ethology, the author demonstrates that understanding self-consciousness and higher-order cognitive systems requires shifting away from natural language descriptions and instead developing a rigorous, formal methodology based on physical laws (Deus_Absco... pp. 14, 18, 39).
