I have a question: is there a way for FlaggedRevs to exclude some certain pages? Three specific pages would be the Main Page, Cookbook:Table of Contents, and Wikijunior.

Is there a Gerrit link for Wikimedia project namespaces?

It looks like this problem has potentially affected other projects too, see https://en.wikiquote.org/w/index.php?title=Module:Shortcut&action=edit for example.

Possibly, I just noted these issues this morning. I thought it was a complex bug, guess not…

I am noting here for the record that the English Wikipedia has done those changes, per the EFN.

Would it be better to use user_type != "named"? This simple check should be able to detect all unregistered users.

I have just been granted interface admin rights, and I have removed the code per Izno's suggestion (https://en.wikibooks.org/w/index.php?title=MediaWiki:Common.css/Messages.css&diff=prev&oldid=4540554). Feel free to mark this as resolved.

I have a suggestion should we create a protected variable to get IPs of page_recent_contributors:

I just left a message on the Spanish Wikipedia, explaining about the upcoming changes to their abuse filters to support upcoming temporary accounts and to change from user_age > 0 to user_type == "named", and similar. You can read more on https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Filtro_de_ediciones/Implementación#c-Codename_Noreste-20250809060400-Implementación_de_soporte_para_cuentas_temporales_y_actualización_de_user_age.

Unfortunately, for the Spanish Wikipedia, there are five private filters which might have required the change before June 18, but unlike sysops, eswiki's non-admin edit filter managers do not have abusefilter-access-protected-vars.

Noting that on Meta-Wiki, non-admins, non-checkusers, and users who are not local temporary account IP viewers can no longer view IP Info's basic information (via ipinfo-view-basic). On the other hand, some global groups (such as abuse filter helpers and maintainers, global rollbackers, and U4C members) only have the ipinfo right, which explains the similar situation I just explained.

Noting here that the AbuseFilter option available in local preference pages on Meta-Wiki and Test Wikipedia (for example) is not available as it might have been merged with the Temporary account IP reveal tick option.
Noting here that this applies to Meta-Wiki or Test Wikipedia for example, where I hold the global abuse filter helper permission.

Abuse filter syntax code and regex of a private global filter, to be exact.

On Google Docs where I maintain GAF 365's code, I've adjusted that code to prevent any more false positives, and I'm not commenting any more about the global filter without spilling any beans.

[see https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Special:AbuseLog/2803401 for context] Under my alternative account, I've decided to test if it will show me the CAPTCHA, and it didn't; it just allowed me to create the page completely.

I left a note on WP:VPT about this on https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Village_pump_(technical)#Ongoing_Phabricator_request_to_remove_the_spamblacklistlog_right_from_the_edit_filter_helper_right rather than WT:EFH since the latter has minimal participation.

On my iPhone or Windows 11 laptop, on the desktop version, it is the same result (no country available) for me even when I use Safari on my iPhone. I'm logged in, I'm using vector skin from 2022, and I am not currently blocked from editing.

Sometimes, I am experiencing this issue on enwiki where there is no access to the location of the IP address, even in limited view. Out of an abundance of caution, and due to this being a possible API error of this gadget, I am re-opening this task.
