@1997kB: How to see a "red ! mark" somewhere in your link?

@Aklapper Forgot to mention that you need New page reviewer user right to see that on enwiki.

The text after hover is not in English if user language is English.

Could not be reproduced. Enwiki is using the default for that message https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MediaWiki:Recentchanges-label-unpatrolled. Probably you changed your language and the result is cached.

Also my understanding is that the tooltip message and ! symbol are not shown on contrib pages, but on recentchanges. I don't know how you are seeing them. Screenshot would be great.

Well found out that it was because of a script I had installed. I have notified the script author about the issue. Closing as invalid.
