PERIOD. is a global youth fueled non-profit which strives to eradicate period poverty and stigma through advocacy, education, and service.
Powered by hundreds of youth led volunteer PERIOD. Chapters around the world, PERIOD. distributes period products to communities in need, authors menstrual health curriculum, and advocates for change.
Apply to PERIOD.'s 2026 Youth Advisory Council
PERIOD.'s Youth Advisory Council is a governance and advisory body of 6–8 activists, aged 16–21, who ensure that youth voice meaningfully informs PERIOD.'s strategic direction and programmatic priorities through the lens of racial, social, and economic justice. Serving one-year terms, council members provide strategic advice to PERIOD.'s staff and Board of Directors while advancing the organization's commitment to marginalized communities. Being a part of the Youth Advisory Council also offers a unique opportunity to learn about nonprofit growth, board governance, and what it means to represent a national organization with a global footprint.
THE DETAILS.
- What is YAC? A governance and advisory body of 6–8 activists (ages 16–21) who ensure youth voice informs PERIOD.'s strategic direction through the lens of racial, social, and economic justice
- Qualifications: Must be 16–21 by August 1, 2026; U.S. resident; current or former PERIOD. Chapter leader strongly preferred; demonstrated leadership, commitment to menstrual equity, and ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds
- Honorarium: $500 per semester, up to $1,000 for the full one-year term
- Deadline: July 3, 2026
