Wednesday
Apparently, I’m a sucker and I never even knew.
For some reason, when planning my schedule last semester I thought it would be a great idea to leave a huge four hour gap between my Wednesday morning 8 a.m. class and my two evening classes. I’m a huge procrastinator so I figured that I could use the time to catch up on work that I (probably) didn’t do (until the last minute).
But since 10:50 a.m., I’ve checked livejournal (7x), facebook (4x), went to the student campus center for lemonade, mozzarella sticks, and a blueberry scone (1x), deleted hotmail (2x), checked my home voicemail (3x), visited perezhilton.com (3x), and apologized via email to all those who thought that I’ve been ignoring them.
Studying? Ha. Getting a head start on the two page paper that’s due next Wednesday? Right. And using the internet for meaningful purposes, such as finding a job, cheaper textbooks, and researching San Francisco for the trip that Rashid and I are planning in early November? Shit. That’s not happening, lol. At least not today, when it thrills me to simply have internet access.
I joked in Jen’s journal about living the un-fabulous life but that’s not exactly true. I do have a lot to say as well as show, but I’ve decided to tweak my journal a bit. I think I’ve learned so much about myself over these past weeks of summer and while I love the social aspect of LJ, I’m going to make my journal more personal, which means I’ll be disabling comments more and relying less on feedback.
But I’ve missed you all! It feels good to be writing in my journal again. I’m honored that every single one of you kept me as a friend and I hope that I’m able to keep the interest, lol.
