Ciara Reveals Her ‘Stage Mom’ Pep Talk She Gave Her Kids Before They Walked NYFW Runway (Exclusive)

Ciara's stage presence is rubbing off on her little ones.

The "Level Up" singer, 39, doubled as an extra proud mom on Sept. 18 when she watched her three eldest of four children — sons Future Zahir, 11, Sienna, 8, and Win, 5 — walk down the Macy's x Rookie Kids: "Runway on Broadway" catwalk in the middle of New York City.

Ahead of the show, Ciara — who shares Sienna and Win with husband Russell Wilson, in addition to their 1-year old daughter Amora (and son Future Zahir with her ex-fiancé Future) — revealed to PEOPLE the pep talk she gave them before hitting the runway.

"Oh my gosh. I was like, 'Get the walk together, get the eyes right. Give me the swag, give me the attitude. I need all that'," she tells PEOPLE exclusively from the red carpet located outside of Macy's Herald Square flagship adjacent to the runway.

As a chart-topping, Grammy-winning artist, Ciara being a self-described "stage mom" comes as no surprise — and her reason for being one, well, makes total sense as a mom who wants nothing but the best for her kids.

"I'm a little bit of stage mom, I can't help it!" she says, explaining, "But when your babies are out there, you want them to shine in their full brightness. Because I see what they do at home, I'm like, 'Do it on the stage too. Okay?' Yeah."

Ciara and Wilson's founded 3Brand was featured in the runway show, presenting the latest back-to-school and fall styles fitted on their kids and others who modeled the looks on the catwalk. Nike, Levi’s, Abercrombie Kids, Lacoste and Converse were also included.

"Russell and I are very proud of our babies, they're going to be representing our brand, 3BRAND," she tells PEOPLE. "They'll be kicking things off on the show... It's just exciting to see all the beautiful kids from all over, not just New York, but all over coming today to shine."

She adds, "It always starts with the youth. We say the youth is the future, and so we're just excited to see all these young stars shine so bright today."

As for whether her little ones were nervous before walking down the runway in front of a high-energy crowd in the middle of New York City? Well, feelings were mixed, but Ciara had some "mom tricks" up her sleeve.

The kids nailed their runway walks, and to wrap the night, Ciara and the New York Giants quarterback joined them on stage for one final walk.

The event was star-studded and featured special appearances of kids with parents notable across sports and entertainment.

Among them were Busta Rhymes and son Trillian Wood-Smith, Knicks star Josh Hart with his twins Haza Dana and Hendrix Aaron, Ice T and Coco Austin with daughter Chanel Nicole Marrow, Lil Kim with her daughter Royal Reign Jones and JWoww with her kids Meilani and Greyson.

This year's Macy's x Rookie Kids "Runway on Broadway" show wasn't the first time Ciara's kids walked the runway. They made their adorable modeling debut when 3Brand launched in June 2021.

The NFL star, his wife and kids walked the runway while wearing outfits from the 40-piece collection, which was created for boys and girls ages 12 months to 20. The brand's full line dropped in August that year.
