Updated Status on Peace Corps Toolkit?
Hi Everyone!
So I´ve heard plenty of stories about how slow My Toolkit on the Peace Corps site is to be updated, and I'd come to expect that. In fact, it hadn't been updated for me at all since Nov. 13. My recruiter called me on Tuesday to let me know that he was nominating me (Latin America, Health, Sept 2007), and I kept checking My Toolkit to see if it was updated, but I certainly wasn't about to hold my breath.
Then yesterday morning (Saturday), I get an automated e-mail from the Peace Corps saying that they've updated my application status on My Toolkit. I go and check it out, assuming that my nomination will show up, but absolutely nothing had changed on my status. Not one thing. I know it's normal for it not to be up to date, but is it normal to receive an e-mail saying it's been updated and still have no changes made?
Thanks guys! I'm very glad I started reading posts in this community before applying- it really did a tremendous job of setting my expectations for some of the bureaucracy, which makes all the difference sometimes.
