Somehow, Ilana's fingers are cleverer than his own, twisting into the sensitive space between his shoulders, the world's-worth of responsibilities that shouldn't be his.
"What are you running from, Jack?" and he's honest with her, because there's no fake mirror image to explain away who he is.
