- Emerald Pandemonium is an LJ RP created by
 lunayoshi for the sole purpose of being able to play SegaSonic characters without the limitations of other players snapping them up first. It was originally intended to be entirely played by Luna herself, but has since become open to the public in case anyone wants to contribute to the storyline. - All participating characters will follow a general but undefined storyline, and members are welcome to play any character(s) they wish so long as the plot is followed to a certain extent and they are kept as in-character as possible. This means that if two people want to play Sonic the Hedgehog, they are allowed to do so, though they must do their best to keep the same character voice as the player who previously posted as Sonic. If this becomes a problem, I will assign responsibility for a character to one person only, and the character will no longer be sharable.
- Rather than create separate journals for each character, I've compiled a list of icons to use in each post using the align=right coding. Multiple icons can be used in a single post, though the limit is one icon per paragraph. Icons are used primarily do display emotions or reactions, so take this into account when posting as a character. When posting as multiple characters in a single post, use icons to help differentiate which text corresponds to which character.
- The RP takes place in narrative form. Example: Tails quietly followed his teammates into the warehouse, noting the stacks of unmarked crates and the strong smell of metal and sawdust. "Do you think we'll find it in here?" He asked. "It's not like Robotnik to store his robots outside of Robotropolis."
- I honestly don't expect anyone to care about this except me, since I'm in desperate need of an RP creative outlet, so ... I just wanted people to know that.

| | Setting:- Once a peaceful and serene world filled with thriving ecosystems and communities comprised of simple yet prosperous peoples, to the citizens of the Green Hill Zone and its surrounding zones, planet Mobius was widely considered to be an ideal place to live. The denizens worked well together and traded among each culture to their mutual benefit. Little did they know that wars were raging thousands of miles away on the other side of the planet--a war between two societies of humans fighting for possession of land, slaves, and fortune.
- The war inevitably ended in favor of the dastardly Dr. Robotnik, primarily due to the fact that his robot army was vastly superior to the fragile bodies of his human opponents. With an endless supply of expendable fighters, the opposing team didn't stand a chance, and Robotnik quickly seized control of their village, enslaving the remaining villagers and forcing them to work in the nearby mines, gathering materials to build more robots.
- Eventually, Robotnik grew impatient with the villagers and their constant need for rest and sustenance. Irritated and completely lacking in compassion, he ordered his army of 'bots to execute them all. Though both sides put up valliant efforts, the inhabitants of Robotnik's new territory once again paled in comparison to the might of the robots, and all living beings perished.
- Oddly satisfied with the destruction and havoc he wreaked, Robotnik made the decision to move on to other villages and repeat the experience. And thus, he did-- invading village after village with his unstoppable robot army. Though most species were eradicated, a scarce few managed to escape, and found their way to the Green Hill Zone; a thriving community with a reasonably large population and one of the only strongholds not yet seiged by Robotnik.
- Eventually, however, the robot horde reached Green Hill, and the citizens put up a commendable fight. Both sides suffered many losses, but the inhabitants of Green Hill managed to secure their home and dwindle Robotnik's army enough so that he could no longer overpower whomever he saw fit.
- Now, with Robotnik struggling to gather supplies to rebuild his army, and with the few living heroes determined to put a stop to him once and for all, both sides are on edge, waiting for the other's next inevitable strike.
Current story/goals:- Sonic and his friends have formed a group of freedom fighters whose goals are to sabotage Robotnik's factories and material mines to the point where he would be helpless against a full-force attack. Such missions are extremely dangerous, as Robotnik is not afraid to use deadly weaponry and explosives. Sonic's team, however, feel that they must try to defeat him, no matter what, for the sake of future generations.
