BAGE FAMILY, MEMBER 3; BAGE3

Alternative titles; symbols

B MELANOMA ANTIGEN 3

HGNC Approved Gene Symbol: BAGE3

Cytogenetic location: 21p11.2   Genomic coordinates (GRCh38) : 21:7,000,001-10,900,000

TEXT

Cloning and Expression

Using PCR primers based on BAGE1 (BAGE; 605167), Ruault et al. (2002) amplified BAGE3 from human testis and melanoma cDNA libraries. The deduced protein contains 109 amino acids.

Mapping

Hartz (2017) mapped the BAGE3 gene to chromosome 21p11.2 based on an alignment of the BAGE3 sequence (GenBank AF339514) with the genomic sequence (GRCh38).
