HGNC Approved Gene Symbol: BAGE2
Cytogenetic location: 21p11.2 Genomic coordinates (GRCh38) : 21:10,413,497-10,518,274 (from NCBI)
Using PCR primers based on BAGE1 (BAGE; 605167), Ruault et al. (2002) amplified BAGE2 from human testis and melanoma cDNA libraries. The deduced protein contains 109 amino acids.
Ruault et al. (2002) determined that the BAGE2 gene contains 10 exons and spans 76 kb.
By FISH and somatic cell hybrid analyses, Ruault et al. (2002) mapped the BAGE2 gene to chromosome 21p.
Hartz (2017) mapped the BAGE2 gene to chromosome 21p11.2 based on an alignment of the BAGE2 sequence (GenBank AF218570) with the genomic sequence (GRCh38).
