Murders have Edge on edge
Reporter Clow Reed
Murder and blood was not an uncommon occurrence in Midgar. It is, however, in Edge. With the looming threat and pain of Geostigma, the recent shock and unity of the crisis from the skies, and the even more recent attack on our beloved monument, revenge and bloodshed has been far from the people of Edge’s minds. That is, until a few days ago.
A mass hovered around fifth street on Saturday morning, avoiding yet trying to get a glance at the mutilated body laying there in a pool of its own blood. The victim was Tifa Lockhart, 22, owner of the bar Seventh Heaven and co-owner of Strife’s delivery service. Investigators say she was murdered around midnight with no weapon other than the assailants' hands. Her body was almost unrecognizable. No witnesses have come forward yet.
A day later the body of Alexander Newman, 18, a bouncer at the new nightclub Cutting Edge, was found dead in the back alleys of the shopping district. Police said the style was the same. There were, again, no witnesses.
The next night, neighbors of Louise and Allan Nichols, 65 and 78, claimed to have heard strangled screams from a block away, but they had assumed it was another case of domestic violence. The mailman found the couple the next day. Their style of their murder matched those of the other two victims.
This of course means that Edge has a few murderers on its hands. No connection between the victims has been found as of yet. The police urge everyone to stay indoors after dark to avoid being targeted. “Until the murderers are found and killed, no one is safe. They are brutal and obviously insane,” said Police chief Smythers in a small press conference.
The police ask that anyone who has any information on these murders please either report it to the station or call the tip-off hotline, 1 ### ### ####.
