A Day In My Life 09/10/2007

Hello! I'm Jess, a 20 year old Maine transplant now living in Framingham, Massachusetts. I'm a photographer at a children's portrait studio, but today i'm documenting my day off, in which there are video games, teenage mutant ninja turtles (!) and awesomeness.

i am awoken to my mother calling. it's okay, though, she calls to tell me that my laptop is going to be upgraded to 1 gig of RAM instead of 512 megs, and also going to get a cooling fan installed (it's away to get fixed). so even though i don't look happy, i am.
i decide to see what time it is. 12:18. not too bad.
i proceed to take myspacey pictures of myself in the bathroom mirror. i look so tired! lol. and don't mind the mirror being so dirty, i only moved into this apartment a little over a week ago, and i haven't washed the mirror yet :X
i say good morning to my kitten, Navi! so named for the annoying fairy in Zelda: Ocarina of Time for N64. I've only had him for like 2 weeks, and he still cries all the time...so it reminds me of "Hey! Listen! Hey! Listen! Look! Listen!" lol
check out what the weather's doing from my 6th floor balcony. that's rt 9 right there. and you can see my car in the bottom of the picture! lol.
i load the dishwasher. how exciting! actually, it kind of is..it's the first time i've used the dishwasher since i moved in.
i eat lunch. Pepsi and leftover Hamburger Helper. looks kinda gross, yeah...lol. kinda low on funds right now, so i make due with what i can. :) it tasted okay though.
intarweb! here i'm refreshing my memory as to what happened on RAW last week...comes into play later. :D
Navi stalks my lunch from the back of the futon.
i take my caffeine pills.
i lay on the futon for a bit, because i'm lazy, lol. i was still a little tired and foggy.
3:30pm = no bebbes!
i make a playlist of songs for cleaning to. in this photo i was listening to Rey Mysterio's entrance theme, "Booyaka 619"
here is my closet and part of my room, before. i still haven't moved things in, because i moved to a new apartment, and then started my new job a couple days later, and today (Monday) was the first day off i had.
after awhile i start getting hot and i feel a headache coming on. so i decide to stop early.
this is after. kind of looks even more messy than before....but i got quite a bit done, so i'm not worried.
so time for more computer! and also a cookie. Triple H says hi to you from my wallpaper. lol.
time check on my ICP alarm clock for the lulz before i go check the mail.

going down to the first floor! and i just noticed my nails are dirty...and my hand is pretty unattractive, lawl.
no mail for me :(
when i get back up to my apartment, i decide Guitar Hero is in order. It's one of my birthday presents from my awesome boyfriend, Glenn, who'll you meet later.
memory card was full, so i put the pictures onto my jump drive, since i'm using my mother's laptop while mine's getting fixed.
i watch an episode of Survivor:Guatemala on TV-Links because i didn't catch them when they aired on tv.
i also play Pokemon Diamond on my new (well, new to me) DS that's the other birthday present from Glenn (both the game and the DS) :D

decide i should probably clean myself up.
the boyfriend arrives while i'm in the shower, and comes into the bathroom to exclaim, "it's 6:30!!!! We're surprising Jamie for his birthday at 7!!" and then he goes to play Guitar Hero. lulz :D

this church plays Christmas carols every night. it's pretty awesome to hear "Joy to the World" in the middle of the summer, haha. :)

omg, Game Universe, rt 9, Framingham! Where we buy and sell used games!! lol. i love this place. my friend Jamie (same one whose birthday we're celebrating) co-owns it. :) Seriously. right next to Eo Noodle, across from Stop and Shop. check it out.
the party! Ken (bald guy in blue shirt) is doing some sort of wrestling move on this kid (this will be a trend throughout the night.)

Jamie was getting cupcake smeared on his face. Ace doesn't look very amused.
Jamie had a Friendly's balloon! but right before this was taken, Jamie shut off the plasma screen Glenn was trying to edit his wrestling character on, and to get revenge, Glenn took my DS stylus, and popped the balloon. Ken did a wrestling move on him, and this was the result:
zomg bloody nose! lol. didn't bleed much, but it wasn't supposed to bleed in the first place. see, Monday nights are taken up by GCW, which is basically a "wrestling league" for Game Universe...we watch RAW on the 50" plasma tvs, and also play Smackdown VS Raw and actually have wrestling storylines. lol. :D but it's all for fun, we don't want anyone getting hurt. but everybody was bleeding tonight, for some reason.
RAW comes on! tonight we find out who Vince McMahon's illegitimate son is! lol, i want to do the McMahon walk.
i get thirsty, Vitamin Water to the rescue!

i decide to read some of my book, Stephen King's "Night Shift". i love reading his books. my parents' house in Maine is only about 1/2 an hour away from him, and we drive by his house all the time. :) it looks like a big castle!! it's crazy. sometimes if you're lucky, you can see him driving around on his motorcycle, lol.
