A key is an item in Animal Crossing: City Folk. It is used in a villager favor where a villager loses their house key and the player must find it and return it to them.
A key can be obtained by fishing in the river after a villager tells the player that they lost their key. It appears as a small fish shadow.

- A sprite for a key, with the filename lost, appears unused in the files of Animal Crossing: Wild World, suggesting that the item and corresponding quest were originally planned to appear in that game.
