And that's a wrap on IMC's first-ever Roostoo Labs hackathon! 🎉 Over the past few days, we celebrated the best algorithmic trading talent across Singapore and Hong Kong at our award ceremonies. Finalist teams took to the stage to present their strategies to our judges, who selected the winners on the day. Huge congratulations to Team 105 WY from Nanyang Technological University Singapore and Team 59 Joe Avenue from The University of Hong Kong for securing the top spots in their respective locations; your work stood out for all the right reasons. To everyone who competed, the rigour, creativity, and technical depth we saw across both locations was genuinely impressive. The results are in from IMC's first-ever Roostoo Labs hackathon; what a competition it was! The top 3 performing teams are: 🥇 Team 53 – Fintech Gamblers | The Chinese University of Hong Kong) | +20.5% 🥈 Team 126 – Team QT (National University of Singapore) | +8.1% 🥉 Team 91 – Caldos (Singapore Management University) | +5.7% Finalists were evaluated on risk-adjusted performance and a thorough review of their algorithmic code and strategy. Using the competition's aggregate city scoring mechanism, Hong Kong edged out Singapore in the city standings. The calibre of students across both cities has been outstanding. But the competition isn’t over yet; winners will be crowned at our Grand Finale award ceremonies later today in Singapore and in Hong Kong on Monday, 20 April.
