Hello, I'm new here and just thought I should introduce myself.
When I was a little girl, I absolutely adored old movies. As in, I wouldn't watch anything made after 1960. Now, I'm getting more and more into independant films and more artistic film. I'm also a huge fan of theatre, but I never get a chance to see a show.
Some of my favorite obscure/foreign/old films include:
Rocky Horror Picture Show, Brotherhood of the Wolf, The Graduate, Alice's Restaurant, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Ed Wood, and Girl, Interrupted.
I've also recently developed a slight obsession with Pride & Prejudice, both the book and the Focus Features film.
And now I have a question:
I watched a film with Cate Blanchett in it a while ago, and I can't for the life of me remember the title. It was about a reporter researching illegal drug usage in Ireland. Based on a true story, the reporter (Blanchett) is threatened and must continue wtih her work as she unravels a conspiracy.
Any ideas? I'd love to see it again, but can't figure out the title ...
