As explained in the letters section of issue # 289 Bill Mantlo adapted Ellison's short story and teleplay "Soldier" without credit. It was identified as an accidental omission in the letters section of issue #289. It was later revealed that the omission wasn't accidental as the letters section claimed; the credit was published as part of a settlement with Ellison over the unauthorized adaptation.
