Veronica runs away from home, and an employee of Mr. Lodge's sees a chance to win the boss's favor and a hefty reward. He persuades Veronica to work as a clown at the children's zoo run by his brother. But Archie and Frankie are hot on the trail of the schemer and Veronica.
Inspired by Cyrano de Bergerac, Moose makes Jughead feed him romantic lines from the bushes so he can impress Midge. Everything goes well until Veronica's dog attacks Jughead.
Archie goes to visit a special wolf at the local zoo. Mr. Weatherbee narrates as he explains how Archie and the old wolf first met. Archie went on a plane trip to the north woods owned by Mr. Lodge, hoping to observe wolves in the wild for a school report. When Mr. Lodge had to crash-land the plane and go for help, Archie was caught up in a wolf pack's caribou hunt.
Archie comes to Reggie's house trying to sell brush and comb sets. When Reggie doesn't want one, Archie starts crying and Reggie is guilted into buying from him.
Archie buys some records from a yard sale for his parents, thinking it's the sort of big band music they grew up with. But he actually bought records of John Philip Sousa marches.
Sabrina is visited by a delegate from Head Witch Della, sent to investigate her for doing good deeds. Sabrina explains that she does good deeds instead of wicked ones because in the modern world, mortals have plenty of problems without witches bothering them.
Mr. Weatherbee keeps losing his tie clips. Archie comes up with a solution: a magnetic tie clip! Problems arise when Weatherbee makes a speech and the magnet sticks to the microphone.
Jughead delivers some flowers the school faculty ordered as a welcome gift for the new teacher. Archie and Reggie mistakenly think Jughead has a crush on her.
Archie needs money for a date, so he sets up a yard sale. The plan backfires when his friends realize he is selling items he borrowed from them ages ago.
