She asks Marianne to lie for her as she breaks a date with Tim so she can go out with Gary, but Tim discovers the truth. As Tim is getting over June, he starts seeing Marianne regularly. When June breaks up with Gary and tries to stir up her old relationship with Tim, he realizes he now loves Marianne.
