Captain Rip Carter was placed in charge of a group of young orphans from various countries including Alfy Twidgett, Andre Chavard, Dan "Brooklyn" Turpin, Jan Haasan, "Tex", and Percy Clearweather.
Notes:
The Boy Commandos first appeared in Detective Comics (DC, 1937 series) #64 (June 1942). Alfy, Andre, Brooklyn, and Jan were already members in that issue. Tex joined in Detective Comics (DC, 1937 series) #124 (June 1947). Percy joined in Boy Commandos (DC, 1942 series) #35 (September-October 1949).
