A line of battling, spinning tops, with an associated multimedia franchise, developed by Takara in 1999. Following Takara's merger with Tomy in 2006, Beyblades are developed by Takara Tomy. Various toy companies have licensed Beyblade toys for their own regions, including Hasbro in most Western countries and Sonokong in South Korea.
