Thom McAn shoe advertisements first appeared in comic books in 1944 and were a regular advertiser until 1955. The advertisements ranged from standard illustrated to comic-form or cartoon-form during this time period. Thom McAn would return to comic books in 1981 advertising its Jox shoes.
