Kieth co-created, with Neil Gaiman, the character Dream [Morpheus], which first appeared in Sandman (DC, 1989 series) #1 (January 1989). He created the character The Maxx, which first appeared in print in Wizard: The Comics Magazine (Wizard Entertainment, 1991 series) #16 (December 1992) and in the first stories in The Maxx Ashcan (Image, 1993 series) #1 (February 1993). The Maxx would continue in its own series The Maxx (Image, 1993 series) #1 (March 1993).
