Description:

Congo Bill was an explorer and hunter in Africa's Congo. He became the guardian of Janu the jungle boy, and later used a magic ring to swap minds with The Golden Gorilla to become The Congorilla.

Congo Bill first appeared in More Fun Comics (DC, 1936 series) #56 (June 1940). He became the guardian of Janu the jungle boy in Action Comics (DC, 1938 series) #191 (April 1954). He first became The Congorilla in Action Comics (DC, 1938 series) #248 (January 1959). Congo Bill's full name, William Glenmorgan, was revealed in Justice League of America (DC, 2006 series) #47 (September 2010).
