Q: What is a Post Secret?
"Post Secret" is the name of a nation-wide art and sociology experiment designed by Frank Warren. The original Post Secret (the blog of which can be found here) revolved around one simple idea- interested parties would send anonymous postcards including a secret that they had never told another soul to the specific Post Secret address. The secrets range from humorous to poignant to provocative, and the experiment has been immensely popular amongst the younger set.
This community will be following the same format: Members will create their own "secrets" concerning our beloved Muse using text, graphics, etc, and submit them to a specified screened post. After the submission period ends, the Mods will pick 5+ secrets to post to the community, where all members can view and comment upon them.
Q: So, what will I actually be submitting? What sort of things count as a "secret"?
The term "secret" is vague for a reason- members are allowed to submit basically any thoughts or confessions about the band that they may have (as long as they don't violate the RULES). These confessions/secrets could be about certain songs, Matthew's sparkle suit, your massive crush on Morgan, whatever.
The actual secret you submit is going to be a graphic with text, images, or whatever you want to put on it. We realize that not everyone is aesthetically gifted, nor has access to a graphics program such as Photoshop or Gimp. That's what this online paint program is for. Basically, the emphasis should be what's written on the secret, not how pretty it is, and seeing as everything's anonymous there's no need to be embarrassed. Seriously.
To save everyone's f-lists, all secrets posted will be placed under an LJ-cut and need to be 600x600 pixels or smaller. To get a sense of how big that is, here is an example of the size your secret needs to be:

Q: How does this whole "anonymous" thing work? Will anyone besides the Mods know it's my secret? How do I submit?
First of all, unless you're totally obvious and give away your identity, no one will know it's your secret. The submission post and secret post are two very separate entities, and we will be saving the secrets to our own server without any distinction as to which secret belongs to whom.
When you've completed a secret and want to submit it to the community, first upload your image (Tinypic, Imageshack, etc.), then find the most recent submissions post and submit your graphic secret in a comment. You may submit your secret anonymously if you so wish. Furthermore, all comments in submission posts are screened.
