Description

Talrand has blue skin and purple fins. He is powerfully built and wears the skull of a drake as a hat.

History

Talrand challenged the dominion of the dragon Kalyntri above the sea. The mage seems equally comfortable on the ground as in the seas, wields a large assortment of blue spells, and has the power to summon drake servants. The telepathic drakes serve him in exchange for his promise of an end to the tyranny of dragons. In a concerted effort, Talrand and a large flock of Drakes killed Kalyntri.

During the New Phyrexian Invasion, many drakes and merfolk died to protect their waters. After the war, Talrand sent his daughter Alandra to Strixhaven University on Arcavios. She is only allowed to return to Shandalar if she can show her father that she is strong enough to be his heir, wild enough to sculpt the storms, and clever enough to charm the drakes over to her side.
