Blessed Sleep
One of the key principles of the Church of Avacyn refers to the conditions of death. For citizens of Innistrad, a perfect life would not be an eternal one but one with rest or "sleep" after death.

The "blessed sleep" is an eternity of quiet oblivion, much better than the shame of becoming a troubled spirit, a maimed body, or an undead abomination, as often happens in Innistrad. The blessed sleep is considered a reward for a virtuous and vigilant life.
"Would you pass eternity on earth" is a common blessing for the dead, among the people of Innistrad.
