Moving into my first home. Working at a gay, lesbian, bisexual organisation. Working as a tour guide in Ghent, doing good. Rediscovering Eurovision. Becoming a godmother.

2002

Awakening from the coma starts. I cosplay in France for the first time and start discovering I can actually have the time of my life independantly from my boyfriend. Owning a rabbit called Teun. Buying my Renault Twingo.

2003

Start sewing, start dancing again. Winning a prize for my first self-made, self-sewn, self-welded cosplay. Starting to loathe the boyfriend. First trip to Japan. Working as a tour guide exclusively.
Leaving the boyfriend.

2004

Living on my own and loving it. Inviting friends all the time. Starting to work for the Belgian government. Still tour guiding on the side. In an abusive relationship. Owning a cat Kanelle. Meeting more friends. Meeting my hun and thinking he was an ass. Being happy.

2005

Living in Japan. Paying off my debts. Having all my personal stuff in a little box in storage. Losing my Twingo. Falling into depression after being dumped. Realising how wrong my relationship actually was. Leaving Belgium for France.

2006

Being single, dating cliches (the rugbyplayer, the singer-songwriter, the mama's boy, the cheater,...), living with one crazy-ass roommate, owning a cat Pepsi. Working in the lingerie firm. Having one fab year in Paris. Meeting my hub, falling in love.

2007

Moving in with my man Getting pregnant and having my first baby. Being lost amongst it all but living it fully with my man. Breastfeeding. Showing Belgium to the man I love. Getting to know my baby.

2008

The proposal. The yes. More man, more baby.
I start working at the OECD. I start loving my job. A year of tiny stuff and joy.

2009

The wedding. THE wedding.
My father gets diagnosed with early cancer and gets it out of his body. I start dancing again, Bollywood this time. I get a permanent post at the OECD. I visit Edinburgh. I get an iPhone. I learn to cook thanks to a slow cooker given by my godmother. I discover the joy of French markets. I get pregnant but the pregnancy ends. My grandfather celebrates his 100th birthday surrounded by his entire family.
I see my baby walk, dance and talk in three languages. I discover life again through her eyes.

I look at life and life is good.
I look at my decade and know I worry too much. Let's start living again, shall we?
