This mix came about because I wanted to find a vehicle for some of the great music coming out of Lost Tribe Sound and their Fearful Void series. The bundle of releases includes 15 albums to be released between June 2020 and June 2021. You can find more info here...

Lost Tribe Sound "specializes in organic and exploratory music that transcends genre, technique, or trend." The music in this new series is both grounded and otherworldly. I wanted to take that mostly acoustic, organic sound and spread it throughout this mix.
There are a lot of wind instruments in this set. I find myself more and more drawn to sound and texture of sax, alto clarinet, oboe, trombone, etc. and this mix presented a great way to include some of that music.

I agree that this mix has a distinct sound to it that sets it apart from many of your other mixes. I really liked it--like trying a food from some other country with different seasonings. Nicely done, much appreciated.
Seriously, thank you from the bottom of my heart for all your gorgeous mixes. I've been making significant progress this year in slowly emerging from living basically my whole adult life in constant anxiety, and your mixes have been and continue to be suuuch lovely aids in this journey. I live on a boat and in 2020 have often ended my nights slowly and dreamily drifting off to sleep while listening to your mixes... which is just totally magical. I can't even put it into words. And is such a ridiculously immense contrast from what used to be my norm: staying up too late on the internet and then uncomfortably falling asleep full of anxiety and dread for the coming day. Sheesh, ick. Right now as I listen there's lightning and I can hardly tell if the rain and thunder is from outside or part of the mix, ha so perfect. Thank you, thank you, thank you. 🙏
