For 2 years we have working on a transdisciplinary theatre play called SUBUTEX. It is directed by Charlotte Villalonga and is based on the best-seller Vernon Subutex by french writer Virginie Despentes. The play includes lots of possible interaction with the public, and lots of possible improvisation in general, which makes every session unique. I'm acting as a live DJ playing throughout the play, enjoying freedom to improvise and change selection as the play goes. This set was recorded as the warm-up for our last try-out in May 2019 at Theatre Jardin Passion. The music chosen for the play is freely inspired from the many musical mentions in the original book, although none of them are directly used as is. It goes from electronic music to rock from different eras, leftfield ambient sounds and many more sounds and effects. I hope you enjoy, and see you around 2020 to see the play in full.
