A merged sequel of sorts to “Flam” and “I Am Not A Fan”. Basically the groove of the former with the sentiment of the latter. I know the songs are nothing “new”. This may have been really hip in 2001 or 2007 or whatever, oh well.
In any case, it has been a strange 18 months of my life. Three people who have been or currently are some of my best friends have divorced (the Tracey Thorn track is a bit on the nose, but nails the three cases in my life: It turned out she wanted more all along…But that one was his fault…This one is her fault).
But then I also lost two friends to heart attacks in one long, weird week in April (one is the “best friend I never really knew” and the other was Don Roberto, a true mentor in my life).
And then on top of that, I found out earlier this year that a guy who was my best friend senior year of high school will be spending most of the rest of his life in federal prison. Too late for beginnings…
